Winding Down the Shoot!

Hi everyone!

It looks like we are almost completely done with production for Strange Louis: A Cluster Flick!

Lead director Kate Fox recently wrapped her featurette.

Director Kate Fox and DP Katie Vessel on the set of Strange Louis.

Kate's featurette centers around a sweet, well-educated girl stuck in a crappy job at a phone sex hotline so she can make rent. Luckily, she has a great co-worker she can confide in.

Thom Murray holds a paper heart on the set of Strange Louis.

The featurette features animation by the incredibly talented Austin Childress.

I just got to see a rough cut, and the film is hilarious and super-endearing. I can't wait for you all to see it!

Antenna Shoot Brings All the Girls to the Arch

Women downtown for the Joyce Meyers conference gathered at the Arch, several offering to pray for the busted-looking actor. (Great job, Austin Childress, on the panicked-prayer-inducing sfx/makeup work).

Antenna, by Alan Helton, is now wrapped and being edited. It is the second out of six shorts being produced, and it looks fantastic!

Dream Sequence 1 - The Apartment - Completed

Hi Everyone,

Sarah Worner here, as a part of the Strange Louis project!

I have had the lovely opportunity to be a guest director in this co-op movie project, and am excited to say that we've wrapped shooting with The Apartment, the dream sequence I got to write and make.

Check out the video clip below for a clip from our shoot with Jessia Davie and Silke Lienhardt!

We are very lucky to be partnering with an editing class at Webster University, in St. Louis, MO; they will be editing this dream sequence for the film.

Make sure to check back for behind the scenes photos and video from director Alan Helton, who recently wrapped shooting on his dream sequence, Antenna.

Production is Underway!

Hi Friends!

Thanks for following us through the production of Strange Louis, a clusterflick that is greater than the sum of its parts.

We have six fantastic directors each taking on a dream sequence with their own crew and their own style. The main story is being directed by Kate Fox, our fearless leader and the director of the 2010 St. Louis International Film Festival Best Local Short Film.

Neighbors Lewis and Clark have lived a love-hate friendship for the past 20 years. Join the men during the last week of their friendship as they encounter the strange and the beautiful in this St. Louis produced feature film.

This project is made entirely out-of-pocket, and is running on the effort and love of volunteers.

Follow their awesomery over the next few months as production draws to a close!
